What is the role of the Enterprise Risk Analyst Intern?
The Enterprise Risk Analyst Intern provides financial, economic, and risk management analyses utilizing financial modeling software, advanced Excel tools, and other reporting programs to support the FHLB's financial and credit risk management.
What kind of projects will the intern be involved with?
The intern will research, develop, and implement analyses and projects related to risk analysis, assessment, and reporting, primarily focusing on model and credit risk.
What qualifications are required for the internship?
A Bachelor's Degree in business with coursework in finance, accounting, and economics is required. Additionally, being in a Master's Degree program in Economics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Administration with a concentration in finance, economics, or quantitative analysis is desirable.
Is proficiency in Excel mandatory for this position?
Yes, proficiency in using personal computers, particularly advanced skills in Excel, is mandatory.
Is experience with business intelligence or statistical software preferred?
Yes, proficiency with business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau) and/or statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, Python) is preferred.
Are there any preferred areas of exposure or knowledge for this role?
Preferred areas include exposure to the financial services industry, financial modeling practices and systems, and familiarity with general risk management, internal audit, and compliance practices.
