Requirements

  • Familiarity with and demonstrated interest in one or more sourcing-related functions (e.g., negotiation, quantitative analysis, supplier management, requests for proposals, contract development / administration, project management, market analysis, etc.)
  • High-energy, self-motivated with desire to excel in a professional corporate environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, take ownership, and work in a flexible team environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Technical skills - Proficiency with MS Office, intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills, must be comfortable using Pivot Tables, Match Index, H- & V-Lookups, etc.
  • Previous work or internship experience in a professional corporate setting, ideally with some qualitative and analytical responsibilities
  • Preferred Qualifications…
  • Previous project-based work or consulting experience
  • Previous experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain
  • Education:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s (or recent graduate) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Design and Constructions, Architecture, Engineering or other comparable discipline with a quantitative analytical focus
  • Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Program
  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 – January 2025.
  • This internship is located in the Burbank, CA area.
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
  • This internship is a primarily on-site position which will require a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace. Candidates must be able to provide their own housing and reliable transportation for work in the Burbank, CA area.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional teams with key internal partners
  • Assist with sourcing activities such as market research, data/financial analysis & supplier management
  • Apply sourcing’s technology platform to support sourcing events such as request for information (RFI’s) and request for proposal (RFP’s)
  • Perform detailed quantitative analysis in MS Excel and generate insights from large amounts of often disparate data
