Description

  • Jacobs is actively seeking a dedicated Junior Data Scientist to enhance our Advisory Solutions Group, specifically within the Data Analytics Practice focusing on Federal clients. This role is integral to a specialized team that delivers data-driven analytical solutions to a diverse array of Federal organizations, aiming to improve the operational efficiency and management effectiveness. The Junior Data Scientist will engage in various activities, including data collection, database architecture development, statistical analysis, and the creation of insightful visualizations and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, from an accredited university
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • Up to 2 years of experience in data science or a related field, including academic projects or internships specifically focusing on data analytics; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic proficiency with Python, R, or other programming languages.
  • Strongly preferred knowledge of Palantir
  • Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of or exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
