Description

  • ERM is seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer Intern (Summer) who is interested in participating on environmental consulting projects in Irvine, California. The successful candidate will have the ability to work on a variety of interesting environmental-related projects across the scope of our technical service areas with multiple clients. This is a great opportunity to work with ERM's technical experts to build experience within the environmental consulting industry.

Requirements

  • Currently working towards a BS or MS in environmental engineering, environmental science, geology, or other related discipline; Minimum 3.2 GPA.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
  • Local candidates preferred.
  • This internship is a part-time role expected to last approximately 2-3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in preparation of environmental compliance plans, permits, and reports for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, and wastewater projects.
  • Assist in data interpretation and preparation of ERM deliverables including site workplans, spreadsheets, figures, and technical reports.
  • Assist with Phase I and II environmental assessments to support property transfer transactions.
  • Focus on team project delivery, taking direction primarily from Project Managers.
  • Provide support to internal Project Managers by assisting in ensuring work product is within compliance of all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
  • Support ERM employees on multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
