What will I be doing as a Fall 2024 Democracy Legal Intern in the NY office?
As a Democracy Legal Intern in our New York office, you will work on policy advocacy, research, and litigation initiatives related to voting rights, election administration reform, campaign finance reform, protecting court independence, and combating partisan gerrymandering. Your responsibilities may include legal, policy, and factual research, assisting with administrative and legislative advocacy, public education, scholarship, and supporting litigation efforts.

The internship lasts for the semester.
What material is required to apply for the internship?
To apply for the internship, you will need to submit a cover letter explaining your interest in Democracy (NY) policy issues, a current law school transcript (optional), a legal writing sample (5-10 pages), a current resume, and contact information for three references.
