What will my responsibilities be as an intern?
As an intern, you will be responsible for pitching ideas, preparing notes for team meetings, researching stories and guests, and assisting in preparing for tapings.
What qualifications are required for this internship?
Interns must demonstrate a passion for international politics and economics, be self-motivated, able to multitask, and have a strong interest in TV broadcast. Interns must also be rising graduate students, actively enrolled in an accredited college, and in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
How many hours per week will the internship require?
Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
Is this position paid?
Yes, the internship is a paid opportunity with a competitive hourly wage of $25 per hour for graduate level interns.
What are the program date options for the internship?
There are two program date options: Option 1 is June 2nd – August 15th, and Option 2 is June 9th – August 22nd.
Will this internship provide academic credit?
While academic credit is not required, we can provide documentation for school credit if desired.
Am I eligible if I am on a student or exchange visa?
No, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, such as F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, or M-1, are not eligible for this internship program.
Is availability required for weekend work?
Yes, Thursday and Friday availability is required, and occasionally, interns may be required to work on Sunday mornings.
