Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 years of relevant work experience with basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to drive non-commercial truck and trailer preferred
  • Exhibits patience and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to properly document repairs completed and in process
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills along with attention to detail
  • Ability to travel within United States & Canada
  • Ability to utilize web base programs, Excel, Smartsheets and Microsoft Word
  • Required to, communicate using telephone, email, text or via messaging applications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 2 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs).
  • Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners
  • No drug or alcohol-related driving incidents in the last 3 years 
  • No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years 
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence
  • No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver’s License (within a 3-5year period)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean and safe driving record
  • Willingness to relocate to any of our markets across the United States after program completion and have flexibility with work schedule (AM shift, PM shift, weekends, and possible holidays
  • Must be Transitioning Military Service Member
  • Must meet all requirements for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program
  • Must be available for 90-120 days prior to your last day of service

Responsibilities

  • Complete a minimum of 30 – 40hrs per week: combined time between training and on-the-job mentorship.
  • Assist Rivian Service Technicians with general repairs, mobile repairs, and any additional tasks requested from the service team.
  • Adhere to all Rivian policies during program
  • Follow service procedures according to Rivian service manual without compromising the safety of the repair 
  • Successfully complete week over week learning objectives with mentor sign off
  • Perform or assist with assigned diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of the repair under guidance of mentors
  • Learn necessary parts operations such as parts ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory
  • Stay up to date with weekly objectives with Rivian training
  • Support campaigns and containment initiatives
  • Establish peer relationships and work under the mentorship of a senior technician
  • Maintain high quality work and efficiency while working with supervision
  • Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing, dynamic environment
  • Perform duties and communicate with a high level of professionalism
  • Additional service center support, including travel, may be required depending on business need
  • Keep operational areas in a high level of operational readiness, housekeeping, organization, orderliness and free of hazards.
  • Follow all applicable Company policies, including providing adequate notice of the need for time off.
