  • What You'll Need:
  • Working towards bachelor's in accounting, finance, business, math, economics, project management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to think outside the box
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, ideal candidate will also have exposure / competency using analytics tools such as SQL, R or Tableau

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the financial reporting and forecasting function for the Loblaw Digital businesses.
  • Perform weekly reporting for Sr. Leadership, with responsibilities including consolidating results, developing analysis and commentary for each business. Review data for accuracy to financial reporting and identify + provide explanations for anomalies.
  • Perform period actual reporting, with responsibilities including preparing data for periodic financial reporting. Identifying trends while providing periodic, quarterly and full year analysis and commentary
  • Support for ad-hoc business analysis as needed (including P&L and profitability analysis)
  • Develop and implement process improvements for the Loblaw Digital business.
  • Perform process reviews to identify inefficiencies and develop and implement solutions
  • Support business controls by creating documentation of financial processes and forming a knowledge repository
