Description

  • We are seeking highly motivated university students to learn and contribute hands-on with our SSD engineering teams for a Co-Op. Current student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, graduating December 2022 and beyond are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and graduating December 2025 and beyond
  • Developing technical skills and area of study towards, but not limited to C/C++, Python, Linux operating systems
  • Right to work in the US without requiring Western Digital to commence or sponsor an immigration case in order to employ you (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration case)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Interest in SSD, semiconductor, components, nonvolatile memory industry

Responsibilities

  • We are recruiting for the following areas where you can be hired into a role within the group:
  • Firmware Validation Engineering (4 months):
  • As a Firmware Validation Co-Op Engineer, you will be part of a team of growth minded problem solvers that are bringing to life world-class performance SSDs for our Enterprise customers. In this role, you will learn and develop python based automated test scripts, work with team members to support and enhance CI test infrastructure, triage and debug complex test bugs, and develop feature test specification documents.
  • What is the RAMP Program? The RAMP Program is supplemental to your day-to-day internship responsibilities. In this program, you will gain deeper exposure to Western Digital’s culture and the different parts of the organization. RAMP Program elements include:
