Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Associate's, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university or credentialed software accelerator program.
  • Degree focused in Aerospace, Aviation Safety & Operations, Commercial Aviation, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Science/Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or other relevant STEM majors with Aerospace or Software Development experience.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding
  • Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available
  • Willing to work in Austin, TX or Remote
  • Desired Characteristics:
  • A solid commitment to a career in aviation and passion/aptitude for software and data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with experience in software industry standards and development tools.
  • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in software, IT or relevant area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clearly.
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with honesty, contributes constructively
  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed, and takes initiative
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Intern assignments are dynamic and challenging based on the business needs and the type of work required. Interns have significant exposure to key Services, Software, Product, and Commercial business leaders at GE; as well as a global internship support network to accelerate learning and development. Interns also have extracurricular opportunities to engage in various activities both socially and professionally.
