Requirements

  • Undergraduate students studying film studies, East/South/Southeast Asian studies, ethnic studies, history, museum studies, curatorial studies, or related fields are welcome to apply.
  • Community college students and undergrads interested in gaining museum-related experience are encouraged to apply.
  • A minimum of 2.8 GPA.
  • Possess a keen interest in curating, film, writing, and research, as well as a curiosity for under-represented voices and themes in cinema history.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and a love of film.
  • Ability to read and write in Korean is a plus.
  • If in-person work is possible during the internship, must remain in a stationary position for periods of more than 2 hours.
  • Move up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with exhibition checklists.
  • Conduct original research on Korean films and 20th century Korean socio-political history.
  • Organize archival materials.
  • Draft literature reviews.
