Undergraduate students from various fields who are passionate about film and under-represented voices in cinema history, with a minimum GPA of 2.8, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to read and write in Korean are encouraged to apply. The candidate must be open to gaining museum-related experience, be able to remain stationary for extended periods, and have the capability to lift up to 25 lbs.

The Getty Marrow, Curatorial Intern at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will support exhibitions by assisting with checklists, conducting research on Korean films and history, organizing archival materials, and drafting literature reviews.

<ul><li>The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is seeking an organized, enthusiastic intern to assist the Curatorial team. The intern will make a critical contribution in research and organization in support of the museum’s upcoming temporary exhibition Director’s Inspiration: Bong Joon Ho. Scheduled to open in&nbsp;Spring&nbsp;2025, the gallery exhibition will focus on the filmography and cinematic influences of the director—shared through historical posters, personal artifacts, and materials from the director’s personal collection.</li><li>Under the guidance of an experienced curatorial staff, the intern will gain in-depth experience in preparation and planning for an exhibition that explores a lesser-known, international film history for a wide audience. The ideal candidate will be a rigorous researcher and strong writer, able to create bibliographies and filmographies, organize image files, and draft and edit research summaries. Previous museum experience is not necessary for this&nbsp;internship.</li><li>This is a limited term&nbsp;internship&nbsp;position beginning in June&nbsp;2024&nbsp;through August&nbsp;2024.</li></ul>
