What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long.
What qualifications are needed to apply for this internship?
Candidates should have or be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Is programming experience required for this role?
Yes, experience in some programming with a scripting language such as MatLab, Python, or Julia is required to support the development of models and automation tools.
What tools should I be familiar with for this internship?
Candidates should have experience in modeling using CAD and CFD tools, and experience in running thermal tests using thermocouples.
Are there preferred qualifications for this internship?
Yes, preferred qualifications include being in the process of obtaining a Masters or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and experience developing analytical, physics-based thermal models.
What type of projects will I be working on during the internship?
Interns will develop systems for VR, AR, Smart Glasses, Wearables, and other New Technology Initiatives as part of the consumer electronics product lifecycle.
Will I be working individually or as part of a team?
You will be part of a cross-functional team, requiring collaboration and curiosity in domains inside and outside thermal engineering.
