Requirements

  • To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Relevant academic background
  • A “can-do” attitude is essential: good at “getting things done”
  • Ability and willingness to develop new skills
  • a passion for pursuing hobbies or interests outside of school/college
  • It would also be helpful if you are:
  • In your final year of A Levels (or equivalent) looking for a gap year of at least 9 months
  • Applying for your 1-year Industrial Placement as part of your university course in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering, or similar discipline
  • A recent graduate seeking a fixed term contract with a world-class medical devices company!

Responsibilities

  • You will be included in day-to-day tasks and take on responsibility and support with:
  • Developing new products and product enhancements
  • Developing test protocols and writing technical reports
  • Running performance and life tests on subsystem components and instruments
  • Undertaking root cause analyses to assist with our programme of continuous improvement
  • Developing departmental tools and processes
  • We’re a high growth company and roles can change and evolve. You’ll be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Instruments and Consumables Development remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives.
