You will gain real-world experience by assisting and performing hands-on repairs and maintenance of medical devices during your internship.
Who will supervise my work as an intern?
Your work will be supervised by experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technicians, Supervisors, or Managers.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this internship?
You must be currently enrolled in, and have completed the first year of an Associates Degree program for Biomedical Equipment Repair, Electronics, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0, or you must have completed the second year of a Bachelor's Degree program in a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Are there any specific skills required for this internship?
Yes, basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications are required.
What will I be doing as part of my daily tasks?
You will perform equipment inspections, complete and document maintenance, troubleshoot and repair medical equipment, conduct rounds, and use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) under supervision.
