Requirements

  • This role requires a college degree preferably MSc or MEng Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics.

Responsibilities

  • Developing linear and nonlinear analytical models for thermomechanical analyses of composite laminates using higher-order numerical methods. MATLAB or Python numerical coding expertise is required for this task. Validating analytical models using finite element approach. Documenting results in the form of technical reports, papers, and presentations
  • As a structural analysis intern, your technical expertise will be required in the following areas:
  • Analytical modelling of composite aerostructures: Application of pseudospectral methods for structural analyses of composite laminates. Specific interest in thermomechanical simulations involving buckling, postbuckling, and dynamic analyses is desired.
  • Finite element analysis: Finite element analysis expertise, preferably using shell or solid elements in Abaqus or Ansys software, is desired.
  • Failure analysis of composite laminates: A fundamental understanding of mechanisms of damage in composite laminates is a plus.
