What is the duration of the internship?
The internship will last for 12 weeks, from May 12th, 2025, to August 1st, 2025.
Where will the internship take place?
The internship will be located at the Delta Air Lines Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.
What academic qualifications are required to apply for this internship?
Applicants must be undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Hospitality, or a similar field.
Are students from any accredited institution eligible to apply?
Yes, students must be enrolled in an accredited institution during the duration of the program to participate.
What skills do I need to succeed in this internship?
Key skills include project management, strong organizational abilities, verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Is experience in data analysis required for this internship?
While not required, familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, or Microsoft Power Apps is preferred.
Are there any benefits or stipends provided to interns?
Yes, students who reside 50 miles or more from Headquarters are eligible for a housing stipend.
Will I have the opportunity to work on individual and group projects?
Yes, interns will work on individual duties as well as collaborate on larger projects with a team of Customer Experience professionals.
Who will I be presenting my project to at the end of the internship?
Interns will present their projects to leadership at Delta Air Lines.
Is it necessary to have prior experience in the airline industry to apply?
No, but a desire to learn about the airline industry and interest in Delta as a company is encouraged.
Will I have the chance to develop leadership skills during the internship?
Yes, there is a desire to learn leadership techniques, best practices in problem solving, and conflict resolution as part of the internship experience.
