Responsibilities

  • The Category Specialist Intern will have the opportunity to learn more about how the Category Management in Global Procurement Organization lead and supports its business partners in Facilities, Engineering and Maintenance organizations.
  • Review vendor records and contracts. Validate for expiration date, errors or missing information, work with the internal stakeholders to get corrections made and accordingly update in the Vendor Database Management platforms.
  • Analyze supplier spend in Eng, Maintenance and Facilities categories
  • Assist procurement managers in updating a supplier’s pool and selecting strategic suppliers
  • Assist in the conduct of a competitive bid and achieve the target saving
  • Provide regular updates on status of the tasks being assigned through daily and weekly reporting
  • Basic data management
