Responsibilities

  • The internship focuses on supporting the Development Strategy team in enhancing current competitive research and analysis methods. This includes conducting industry/market research and analysis, as well as analyzing the current renewable project pipeline and comparing it to competitor projects. The individual in this role will also be responsible for streamlining the existing research and analysis process and developing an improved method to research, analyze, and benchmark development projects. The overall objective is to contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive plans that identify, evaluate, and implement renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, or storage. This includes various stages such as site selection, feasibility analysis, permitting, financing, construction, and operation, all while aligning with the organization's sustainability goals and market opportunities.
  • The intern will interact with Project Developers, Directors, specialists, and external consultants to prepare for and manage site land acquisition, lease negotiation, site surveys, permitting, marketing, and/or pricing. The intern will also coordinate and cooperate as needed with regional and corporate teams in Resource Assessment, Legal, Land/Title, Transmission, Engineering, Accounting, Project Finance, Valuation & Transactions, O&M, and Asset Management.
