Responsibilities

  • Execution model validation on high, medium, and low models
  • Interface with all lines of business executives, business partners, model owners, model developers and model users
  • Communication of policy requirements and changes to model developers and owners
  • Provide input to model validation framework and policy changes
  • Review department model governance procedures towards ensuring adherence to the policy
  • Tracking model owner adherence to differing risk-level-based policy
  • Participating in both internal and external model validation processes as warranted
  • Supporting periodic review of model validation documentation/ internal reviews for consistency to policy
  • Write and present validation findings and pursuant remediation plans to ensure resolution in a timely manner
  • Managing model attestation process
  • Assign Model Validation Result Scores, and monitor other standard Model Risk Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for improvement
  • Help maintain a comprehensive, centralized, and standardized model inventory
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is in place
  • Create analytics and reporting for the appropriate levels, including senior and executive management and risk committees
  • Review model monitoring performance thresholds established in collaboration with the model owners
  • Facilitate resolution and/or escalation of issues within the specified times
