Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • Confidence with JavaScript and common web-frontend related technologies: React, Angular, Vuejs, NodeJS, NPM, Yarn
  • Basic knowledge of HTTP and web-applications is a plus
  • Comfortable with SQL databases including Postgres or MySQL
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (k8s) is a plus
  • Experience with debugging
  • Good critical thinking and communication skills
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's programme in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

  • The Apple Services Engineering Localization Tools Team & Editorial Workflow is looking for an Engineering intern to build new applications and infrastructure in order to support its fast paced growth.
  • We build complex backend services in Java which power numerous React, Redux, and other frontend systems to drive this growth. Our applications are responsible for the creation and delivery of UI localization and localized editorial copy needed to support Apple Music, the App Store, Fitness+, Books, Podcasts and other business verticals.
  • We are at the very beginning of a multi-year program to scale our editorial content delivery pipelines and operations. In this role, you will go beyond the industry norm and demonstrate creativity in problem solving, ability to think dynamically and outside of standard convention, and adapt quickly to new technical areas.
  • We promote innovation and new technology to further improve Apple's hardware performance and user experience.
