Is this position part-time or full-time?
The Supply Chain Intern position can be either part-time or full-time during the school year and may extend into the summer.
What type of projects will the intern be involved in?
The intern will be involved in supply chain projects including improving Days of Inventory (DOI), Purchase Price Variance (PPV), and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
What are some key responsibilities of the Supply Chain Intern?
Key responsibilities include expediting or deferring components, placing orders, filling shortages, maintaining components, developing supply chain programs, working with suppliers, and proposing process changes.
Are there any educational requirements for this internship?
Yes, candidates should be currently enrolled in and working to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Supply Chain preferred.
Is prior experience with ERP systems required?
Previous experience with an ERP system is a plus but not a requirement for this position.
What technical skills are required for this internship?
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create formulas, v-lookups, and pivot tables, is required.
Will the intern need to work additional hours?
Yes, the intern must be willing and able to work additional hours as necessary.
Is APICS certification necessary for the role?
APICS certification is preferred but not required for this internship position.
