Requirements

Essential skills and experience:
Must have an expected graduation date in Spring 2023, Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Fall 2024 with a BS degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
Solid understanding of basic statics and strength of materials.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
Prior, related internship or co-op experience

Responsibilities

Perform various drafting/design tasks as a member of a project team under the direct supervision of the project design lead
You will have the opportunity to apply your computer-aided drafting skills, while receiving hands-on training in 3D design software environments, such as AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation
Additionally, you will receive training in Sargent & Lundy’s award-winning, industry-recognized proprietary 3d plant design platform
You will be involved in the preparation and completion of project documents
You may accompany and assist experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for your design project
While interfacing with the different design disciplines to coordinate over all plant design
