Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's program in User Experience Design, Business, or a related field
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited Co-operative education program at an Ontario university or college.
  • A portfolio of design projects that demonstrates understanding of design principles
  • Knowledge and experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent proactive communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and convey complex processes clearly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a UI/UX Designer Co-op who will support the end-to-end operational transformation team. As a co-op, you will work closely with the team to support design and enhancements with key functional departments and across customer journeys. You will help develop easy-to-use internal controls and management reporting to monitor and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives. Example work areas will include:
  • Develop intuitive UI to provide enhanced site function and smooth user experience
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, build page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Illustrate designs using process maps, wireframes, workflow diagrams, and documentation to support process analysis and improvement efforts
  • Create mockups and prototypes to convey site functions and follow corporate standards on font, colors, and align with other related corporate applications
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and evaluation business process improvements
  • Analyze user experience from end-to-end business processes perspective within the supply chain to identify areas for improved adoption and process optimization
  • Support the monitoring and measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of process improvements
