  • The team provides business partnering support for our US School Assessments and Pearson School Qualifications businesses, supporting c£600m of revenue for Pearson.
  • We are a small team with 8 business partners across the US, Europe and Australia. We support business leaders with commercial finance and business partnering, supporting decision making and managing the financial performance of the businesses.


  • Second or final year student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Prior coursework or experience in financial analysis, business partnering, or corporate finance is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., ERP, EPM) and business intelligence tools is a plus

Area of Responsibilities

Banking & Finance


  • Collaborate with business units to understand their financial needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Assist in financial analysis and modeling to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for business leaders to communicate key performance metrics and trends.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify drivers of financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, business cases, and strategic initiatives, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Assist in ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management or business partners.
