Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student focusing on journalism, international relations, or related field
  • Students should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college coursework (not including AP classes in high school) by the time they begin an internship
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Previous journalism, web, multimedia experience a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google

Responsibilities

  • Prepare research briefings on episode topics, including compiling and highlighting articles on multiple subjects, uncovering fresh angles and points of interest, and assembling lists of speakers and guests
  • Assist with application for festivals, awards, etc.
  • Photo, website content, and podcast production research; editing photos and audio, and copyediting news stories and multimedia projects; reviewing and editing transcripts
  • Assist with organizing interviews and other logistics
