  • Currently enrolled in a university program or a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field with a heavy quantitative focus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, particularly in financial data analysis.
  • Experience working with large datasets and resourcefulness in obtaining data when it is not readily available.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level business problems into more specific questions that can be answered through data-driven analysis.
  • Partner with the Accounting team to execute the monthly financial closing process.
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner for the European Commercial teams to assess the impact of initiatives and their cost implications.
  • Collaborate with Finance Leadership on a quarterly basis to conduct a financial health check and forecast operational spend for the next 12-24 months.
  • Work with the Profitability Management and Strategic Operations Finance teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and margin optimization.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Gain expertise in the European P&L structure at Wayfair.
