Requirements

  • Must haves:
  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable Pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Mechatronic Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken/written).
  • Courses taken: Mechanics of materials / Damage in Materials, Static / Mechanics of Deformable Solids, Structure & Properties of materials.
  • Assets:
  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.
  • LS-Dyna/Ansys experience, Finite Element Analysis, Dynamics, Machinery Design.

Responsibilities

  • Following are the main tasks / deliverables to explore:
  • Secure and document current material database for containment analysis
  • Optimise Finite Element selection for FEM generation
  • Improve material failure definition for high impact analysis in Ls-Dyna
  • Run test cases for calibration to physical tests (engine level and/or component level rig tests
