Requirements

  • PC skills with knowledge of various software applications used for testing, troubleshooting, call logging, product programming.
  • Experience providing customer service.
  • Knowledge in Windows Servers, Windows operating systems and hardware.
  • English communication skills including oral, written, presentation, and active listening.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week throughout internship.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Java.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (i.e., SQL server, Oracle, IBMi DB2, JDBC).
  • Experience with IBMi job management (i.e., Job descriptions, User profiles, Routing entries, Job queues, Subsystems, print queues, data queues).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for appropriate referral to other support analysts and provide feedback to Development with guidance from mentor and liaises with other departments to ensure proper handling of customer issues.
  • Provide courteous customer service in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with existing procedures.
  • Develop application knowledge in specific product suite, technical environment, and technologies. 
  • Participate in special projects and takes on special assignments as needed.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Apply learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems.
