Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience or coursework related to logistics or supply chain management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Carrier Onboarding and Management: Assist in the process of onboarding new carriers, including conducting background checks, verifying insurance documents, and setting up contracts.
  • Rate Negotiation and Analysis: Support the Operations team in negotiating freight rates with customers & carriers, analyzing pricing structures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Shipment Tracking and Communication: Monitor the status of shipments in transit, communicate with carriers to ensure timely delivery, and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Compile and analyze transportation data to identify trends, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate reports for management review.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement within carrier & customer operations and assist in implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service Support: Assist in addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience for both carriers and clients.
