Requirements

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or Java.
  • Strong understanding of software development practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

  • Currently working toward a Bachelor's or Master's with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Digital Art, Game Design, or a related field.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university , taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and provide full availability for the entire program duration.
  • Must provide your own housing and transportation during the internship.
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.

Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Engage in the development of software tools, APIs, and systems to optimize production workflows, enhance infrastructure monitoring, and improve user interfaces.
  • Research & Development: Collaborate on state-of-the-art projects involving machine learning, computer vision, real-time rendering, and simulation technologies to address complex production challenges.
  • Technical Support: Provide assistance in maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, including desktop support, network infrastructure, and data management, ensuring seamless operations across Lucasfilm and ILM.
  • Art & Design: Contribute to the creation, optimization, and integration of 3D models, textures, visual effects, and shaders for immersive and interactive experiences across various platforms.
  • Systems Engineering: Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced video and audio systems within our cutting-edge production environments.
