Requirements

  • Proven strength in organization, detail and interpersonal communication
  • Experience logging video content and entering metadata
  • Knowledge of various camera types/formats/codecs
  • Experience using various database tools, like FileMaker Pro
  • Proficiency in Windows, Mac, MS Office, Google Suite, etc.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Avid Media Composer and other equivalent non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premier
  • Education:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Film/TV production, Arts, Library Science or related field
  • Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Additional Information:
  • The ability to work a consistent, reliable full-time work schedule throughout the internship. This could be either onsite or fully remote.
  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024- August 2024. Must provide own housing during the internship program in the San Francisco area and have reliable transportation to/from work if working onsite

Responsibilities

  • Projects include helping with ingesting video assets, development database, logging metadata, and providing operational support to the Video Asset Management team. This can include:
  • Transcoding and importing new video assets
  • Researching, collecting, and logging material
  • Maintaining accurate metadata entry in various asset management databases and tracking tools
  • Applying knowledge of current file codecs to archive camera original sources
