Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant coursework in entertainment law, copyrights, trademark, intellectual property and/or negation theory/strategy
  • Shown ability to take initiative and multitask in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects
  • Experience with researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings
  • A detailed-oriented approach, especially when processing a large volume of documents
  • Collaborative teammate who can also work independently
  • Demonstrate a high degree of discretion regarding sensitive/confidential information
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited law school taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
  • Completion of one or more years of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Responsibilities

  • Above-the-line and below-the-line agreements and various legal documents for feature films, streaming series, and animated productions
  • Analyze various intellectual property rights, matters and clearance issues involving Marvel assets
  • Assist the legal team with production-related matters across live action feature films and streaming shows and animated projects
  • Review, update, and prepare form agreements
