Responsibilities

  • 3D and 2D Drawings: Sort and create 3D and 2D drawings for test rigs and instruments.
  • Thermodynamic calculations and simulations: using REFPROP and MATLAB to simulate and sizing the pipe, valves, pumps and heat exchangers.
  • Commissioning and Validation: Assist in commissioning and validating new test rigs or upgrades, including system leak checks and fixes, instrument and device communication, test software function verification, heat-rejection chiller operation, and Turbocor compressor test operation.
  • Documentation: Create folders and organize them with as-built documents to standardize test rig information.
  • Spare Parts Management: Set up a system for managing test rig spare parts and assist with purchasing, receiving, and shipping spare parts.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Prepare and upgrade SOPs for test rig and data acquisition system operations and facilitate training for the lab operation team.
  • Software Tools: Create software tools for test data standardization, processing, and report automation
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
  • Understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.
