What is the work schedule for the Microbiological Lab Intern II position?
The work schedule consists of 7 1/2 hour shifts.
What environmental conditions should I expect while working as a Microbiological Lab Intern?
You will need to adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, and some degree of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, and ear plugs.
What type of tasks will I be doing in this role?
You will support the quality control microbiological team in completing microbiological tests, specifically implementing incoming testing for excipients (TAMC and TYMC), performing utilities testing, conducting microbiological laboratory analyses (bioburden and endotoxin), and managing laboratory documentation.
What qualifications are preferred for this position?
A preferable qualification is a Master’s degree (MSc) in biology or biotechnology, along with validated experience as a microbiological analyst in a GMP production site.
Is experience in aseptic techniques required for this role?
Yes, experience with aseptic laboratory techniques, aseptic gowning technique, environmental monitoring, bioburden, utilities testing, and the identification system for isolated microorganisms is required.
What language skills are necessary for this position?
Good levels of Italian and English, both written and spoken, are necessary.
