Responsibilities

  • You will work as part of a team looking after the Wessex Region's most complex neonates and will be supported to do this by working alongside a highly skilled team whilst working collaboratively with families encompassing Family Integrated Care.
  • UHS NICU is a cardiac and surgical centre which takes referrals from across the Wessex Region and works collaboratively with regional maternity services to ensure NHS England's 'Better Birth's' agenda is adhered to.
  • We are fortunate to have many exciting teams within NICU including the regional transport service (SONET), family support and psychology team, surgical specialist nurses amongst many other expert sub teams.
  • This ensures the bedside nurses are well supported to be able to facilitate the best patient care to our vulnerable neonatal.
