What is the role of a Nurse Intern in Cardiology?
The Nurse Intern provides direct nursing care under the supervision of a nurse, completing assigned nursing orders, assisting patients with daily activities, taking vital signs, and observing and documenting patient status.
What education is required to apply for this position?
A high school diploma or GED is required. Additionally, candidates must be accepted or enrolled in a Nursing program by the date of hire and begin classes within 90 days of hire.
Is there any certification required for this role?
Yes, a BLS Provider certification must be obtained within one month (30 days) of hire or job transfer date, and it must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Are there any preferred qualifications for Nurse Intern applicants?
Preference will be given to Nurse Interns who have completed Med Surge 2.
