What responsibilities will I have as a Nursing Intern in the Medical-Surgical unit?
As a Nursing Intern, you will complete assigned nursing orders as directed by your preceptor, assist patients with activities of daily living, take vital signs, observe patient status and document observations, assist in the development of care plans, and perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this position?
You need a high school diploma or GED, and you must be accepted or enrolled in a nursing program by the date of hire/transfer, starting classes within 90 days. Additionally, you are required to obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of your hire or transfer date.
Is prior nursing experience required for this position?
No prior nursing experience is required, but you must be either accepted into or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
