What are the working hours for this position?
The working hours are PRN, 12-hour Day Shift from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, Sunday through Saturday.
What type of duties will I be responsible for as a Nursing Intern?
As a Nursing Intern, you will provide direct nursing care, assist with activities of daily living, take vital signs, observe and document patient status, assist in developing care plans, and perform other tasks as assigned.
What educational qualifications are required for this position?
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with acceptance or enrollment in a nursing program by the date of hire/transfer, and starting classes within 90 days of that date.
Is there a certification requirement for this job?
Yes, a BLS Provider certification is required to be obtained within 1 month (30 days) of the hire date or job transfer date.
Will I receive benefits as a Nursing Intern?
Employees classified as contingent status, which includes Nursing Interns, are not eligible for benefits.
Is prior experience required for this position?
No additional experience is required beyond being accepted or enrolled in a nursing program.
What type of patients will I be working with in the Stepdown Unit?
