What is the duration of the Powertrain Intern position?
The Powertrain Intern position is a six-month internship.
What kind of projects will I work on during the internship?
You will have the opportunity to assist in a variety of projects as part of the VAN NAFTA & PADS team, including long-term projects related to Gasoline, Drivability, or Diesel sub-teams.
Are there any specific qualifications required for this internship?
Yes, candidates should be recent graduates or current students pursuing a degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, and must have completed at least their junior year.
What are the preferred qualifications for applicants?
A valid CA Driver’s License is preferred for applicants.
What tools will I be using during the internship?
You will work with vehicle development tools such as ETAS INCA, MDA, and vehicle diagnostic tools like DTS Monaco, Vediamo Ecoute, and Diagmera.
Is there an hourly pay rate for this internship?
Yes, the current hourly rate is $28 for undergraduate students and $32 for graduate students.
What benefits are offered to interns?
Interns are offered paid time off (PTO) and sick time, but do not receive the full-time employee benefits.

Yes, there will be opportunities to gain insights into various departments such as the R&D workshop, Emissions Laboratory, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, and E/E Integration.
What are the physical demands of this internship?
The position requires lifting up to 50 lb, as well as frequent use of speech, vision, hearing, and hands for computer use and presentations, along with frequent sitting, standing, and reaching with hands.
