  • Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Applies appropriate standard of precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent cross-contamination of communicable disease.
  • Develops proficiency in contrast material and adverse reactions to contrast media.
  • Adhere to Orlando Health policy, procedures, protocols, mission statements and commitment to excellence standards.
  • Learn the necessary skills required of a licensed Orlando Health Radiologic Technologist so that they will be equipped to work independently upon graduation and successful completion of introductory period.
  • Develop necessary skills to utilize all Corporate Radiology computer systems (EPIC, PACS) effectively and accurately.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Follows established image processing techniques and procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
  • Maintains well-stocked and organized work areas.
  • Works evenings, overnights, and weekends as scheduled.
  • May be required to work at any Orlando Health facility.
  • Performs other duties as necessary to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Provides patient transport.
