Requirements

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering at an accredited University.
Interested in computer programming and the ability to analyze and visualize large dataset are desirable.
Interested in and motivated to learn railway timetabling and simulation software.
Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Self-motivated and have a strong interest in rail operation.

Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects.
Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges.
Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Supports rail network simulation by organizing infrastructure design and timetable data provided by stakeholders.
Develops spreadsheets or software programs to accelerate/automate the review of simulation data.
Assists in producing reports, presentations, and engineering documentations based on simulation results.
Participates in a variety of rail network analyses, studies, simulation model development or optimization, and technical report generation addressing a wide range of operating, infrastructure and performance improvement.
Participates in training on railway engineering components such as trackwork, signaling, rolling stock, timetabling, stabling, etc.
Participates in discussions on railway designs and timetabling with internal and external stakeholders.
