Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Pursing a degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business, Risk Management, or a similar quantitative field.
  • Actuarial exam progress towards CAS/SOA credentials a plus
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands. Ability to collaborate an absolute must.
  • Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Candidates must be local to the NY/CT/NJ area and/or able to provide their own housing and transportation.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous actuarial internship experience
  • Local applicants who can contribute/work part – time in the office post the completion of the summer intern program

Responsibilities

  • Gain a solid understanding of the Company’s actuarial practices.
  • Provide support to pricing actuaries on individual account submissions.
  • Assist with gathering industry and peer data for our annual line of business studies.
  • Other projects as needed to support the various business functions (Underwriting, Operations, Claims, etc.)
