Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily assignments that may include breaking news reporting, writing, copy editing, online production assignments, social media, research, database work, investigative work, audio and video editing and visual journalism.
  • Identify and interview news sources.
  • Travel as needed for news coverage, sometimes on short notice.
  • Research stories using reliable sources.
  • Quickly and accurately report for publication.
  • Help in the production of photographs and graphics to support stories.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and pitch story ideas.
