Responsibilities

  • Each year we welcome interns into both our Flavour and Materials Science teams, to work with our technical experts to develop technologies that enable innovation across Mondelez’s portfolio of snack products. Part of your role will be to prepare lab scale samples for sensory and analytical assessment.
  • In the Flavour team, you will work with experts in flavour chemistry to develop your own understanding of flavour science, analysis and perception, using prototypes and model systems to demonstrate the impact of different ingredients and flavour combinations on the flavour profile of a product.
  • In the Materials Science team, you will apply your knowledge of physics and chemistry to help develop technologies to improve the sustainability and nutritional profile of our products, in line with our well-being strategy.
  • In both teams you will produce technical reports/presentations and periodically communicate your key findings to stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the wider R&D Community, other business functions and external suppliers. In addition to this you may also be expected to support other ongoing project activities in and outside of your immediate team. For some roles, occasional travel within the UK, or international, may be required.
