Requirements

  • Currently has, or in the process of obtaining, a Ph.D. degree in the field of Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C or C++.
  • Experience in machine learning algorithm development and state-of-the-art models (e.g., CNN, SVM, LSTM, RNN).
  • Experience with machine learning implementation frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Understanding of signal processing and sensor fusion techniques.
  • Must be eligible to work in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with developing machine learning algorithms for motion tracking and localization, e.g. sensor fusion, Extended Kalman filter, state estimation, AI/ML, and/or similar algorithms.
  • Practical experience in implementing and optimizing machine learning algorithms in resource-constrained environments.
  • Familiarity with inertial sensors, magnetometers, ultrasonic transducers, pressure sensors, and/or similar sensors.
  • Familiarity with the emerging Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies.
  • Intent to return to a degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other researchers and engineers across both hardware and research teams to develop deep learning algorithms that advance the state-of-the-art in Motion Sensing
  • Apply signal processing and machine learning methods to analyze datasets.
  • Optimize algorithms for low power consumption while maintaining high accuracy. Conduct testing and validation of algorithms using relevant datasets and real-world scenarios.
  • Document and communicate findings, methodologies, and results effectively.
