What is the start date for the rotating internship?
The internship starts on 6th January 2025.
How many interns will be hired for this position?
We are looking to hire four rotating interns.
What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is a fixed position for 12 months.
What qualifications do candidates need to apply?
Candidates should have at least 12 months of experience working in general practice.
What types of services will interns rotate through?
Interns will rotate through specialist-led services including anaesthesia, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, and soft tissue surgery.
Will interns have support during night shifts and weekends?
Yes, during night shifts and weekends, interns will have the support of patient care assistants, nurses, specialists in training, and specialists.
What additional learning opportunities are available during the internship?
Interns will have access to weekly seminars, journal clubs, imaging rounds, book clubs, and morbidity and mortality rounds.
Who will provide mentorship during the internship?
Each intern will be assigned a mentor and clinical supervisor for personalized guidance and support.
What is the annual salary for this position?
The salary for the internship is £32,000 per annum.
How many days of annual leave do interns receive?
Interns receive 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
Is there a CPD allowance provided?
Yes, there is a £1,000 CPD allowance over a period of 5 days.
