What are the main responsibilities of a Stock Assistant volunteer?
As a Stock Assistant volunteer, your main responsibilities include checking the quality of donated items, preparing them for sale or recycling, replenishing stock on the shop floor, ironing, cleaning, labeling, and pricing items, as well as performing general activities around the shop.
Do I need any prior experience to volunteer?
No previous experience is needed for this volunteering role. Full training will be provided to all volunteers.
How many hours do I need to commit to volunteering?
There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours required. We only ask that you agree on hours that you are confident you can attend and communicate any changes to those hours.
When can I volunteer?
You can volunteer for a few hours during the week or weekend, as agreed with the shop manager.
Is there an age limit for volunteers?
Yes, there may be some locations where we cannot host volunteers aged 15-17. We encourage you to get in touch to find a suitable volunteering opportunity.
Are there any costs associated with volunteering?
We have an expenses policy in place that prioritizes ensuring volunteers are not out of pocket for expenses linked to their role. If you face upfront costs, you can discuss alternatives with your volunteering manager.
