The candidate must be a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, able to work in the U.S., and available for a 10-week program focused on small balance underwriting. They should have a passion for commercial real estate, be a team player, possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. They should also demonstrate professional maturity, initiative, ownership, and respect when working with colleagues. Relevant work experience and analytical skills are a plus.

The Small Balance Underwriting Intern at Walker & Dunlop will support SBG Analysts in vendor bidding, scheduling, and invoice processing, assist with transaction due diligence and property site visits, learn rent roll analysis, and upload underwriting packages to Freddie Mac. They will also gain experience in interpreting multifamily appraisals, condition, environmental, and zoning reports.
