Requirements

2nd, 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or equivalent.
Skills:
Desire to succeed and to do things right the first time;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Strong object-oriented software design and implementation (any language);
Experience with any or all of the following: Visual Studio (VB.NET or C#), Python, XML, XSD, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, SQL, Tableau, Jira, Bugzilla, SVN, Git;
Experience in instrumentation and automation;
Understanding of optical systems;
Experience with optical instruments and optical fibers.

Responsibilities

Contributing to the ongoing development of automated solutions for our next generation optical transport products;
Automating tools and dashboards to visualize and analyze large volumes of data to improve product performance and quality;
Solving complex technical problems;
Working in close collaboration with the Optical, Hardware, Mechanical, Software, and Firmware R&D teams; and,
Improving the quality and robustness of manufacturing tests.
