Is this internship remote?
Yes, this internship is scheduled to be 100% remote, but finalists must reside in specific states to be eligible for employment.
What location restrictions are there for remote interns?
Finalists must reside in one of the following states to be eligible: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.
What department will the intern be working in?
The intern will be working in the HPTS (Health Plan Technology Services) department, specifically NEIWS (National Electronic Imaging & Workflow Systems).
What technologies will the intern be exposed to?
The intern will be exposed to technologies including but not limited to .NET (ASP C#, VB.NET), JavaScript / Node.JS / Swift, Scripting (PowerShell, XSLT, DOS Batch), Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code, Jenkins, and GitHub.
What kind of experience is required for this internship?
There is no prior work experience required; however, 1+ year of software development and iOS mobile development experience is preferred.
What educational background do interns need to have?
Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's degree or have graduated with a bachelor's degree from an accredited university within the last year, along with a High School Diploma or GED.
Are there any GPA requirements for candidates?
Yes, a GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
Will interns have the opportunity to work on full-stack development?
Yes, interns will be exposed to full-stack development, including mobile (iOS) development.
What are the working hours for this internship?
The working hours for this internship are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Is there a possibility for travel during the internship?
No, there is no travel required for this internship role.
